As a chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. a professional organization for registered nurses and nursing students, our vision is to advance community health in Greater Sacramento through health education and training, leadership, and service. On the principals of Service for Humanity, Omicron Eta Eta is committed to continuing this rich legacy in elevating the field of nursing while serving our communities with compassion and excellence.
Our chapter proudly serves the Sacramento region by addressing the unique health needs of our communities providing emergency response training, health education programs, and scholarship & mentorship opportunities. Whether in schools, churches, community centers, or local events, we bring essential knowledge and training directly to the people we serve.
Through partnerships, outreach, and service, Omicron Eta Eta is committed to addressing health disparities, empowering youth and families, and inspiring the next generation of nurses. Together, we are closing critical health gaps, reducing preventable risks, and fostering long-term wellness. Every workshop, every screening, and every act of mentorship strengthen our vision of Service for Humanity and help create healthier, more resilient futures for all.
It is with great pride and honor that I serve as the Founding President of the newly chartered Omicron Eta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. As we embark on this exciting journey, we stand united in our mission to exemplify excellence in nursing, uphold the values of service, leadership, and education in the communities we serve.
The vision to establish this chapter was created from a shared commitment to advance health equity, professional development, and sisterhood/brotherhood within the nursing profession.Together we strive to leave a footprint of leadership and “Service for Humanity” in Greater Sacramento- a legacy that will continue to inspire and empower the next generation of nurse leaders.

Omicron Eta Eta Chapter is the newest link in the historic Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. Rooted in unity, service, and scholarship, we strive to build new pathways of impact for nurses and our community. Chartered in Sacramento, California on October 19, 2024, our chapter is committed to advancing community health and the nursing profession through education, leadership, advocacy, collaboration, research, and service. Placing our footprints in the capital city through meaningful partnerships, impactful programs, and scholarship awards will bring health and hope across the Greater Sacramento region. Guided by compassion and collaboration, Omicron Eta Eta empowers communities to thrive in health, knowledge, and service.
Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated was founded in 1932 by Aliene C. Ewell, RN, and eleven pioneering nurses who sought to unite and uplift the nursing profession. Over the decades, the organization has grown into an international network of professional nurses and student nurses committed to education, leadership, and service. In October 2024, the Omicron Eta Eta Chapter was chartered in Sacramento, California, extending this proud legacy into the Southwest Region. Guided by the motto Service for Humanity, Omicron Eta Eta builds upon the sorority’s rich history by promoting health equity, mentoring future nurses, and delivering impactful community programs.
With Omicron Eta Eta, our values are rooted in service, integrity, and compassion. We believe in advancing health equity through education and outreach, empowering nurses to lead with excellence, and fostering collaboration to uplift entire communities. Guided by the legacy of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, we uphold the principles of advocacy, leadership, and scholarship. These values drive every program we deliver, every partnership we form, and every nurse we mentor—ensuring that our work leaves a lasting impact on the people we serve.
Omicron Eta Eta Chapter delivers programs designed to educate, empower, and protect our communities. We provide life-saving Hands-Only CPR workshops, STOP THE BLEED training, and community health screenings that address urgent needs in underserved areas. Our initiatives also include oral health education, disease prevention, wellness promotion, and mentorship for aspiring nurses. Through these efforts, we not only equip individuals with practical skills but also foster long-term change—building confidence, healthier families, stronger neighborhoods, and a resilient nursing workforce for the future.
